Ingredients
2 tbsp butter
2 onions
1.5 lbs ground beef
6 cloves garlic
2 red peppers
2 cans chili beans
8 cups tomatoes
2 tsp italian seasoning
1 tsp smoked paprika
2.5 tsp ground cumin
2 tbsp chili powder
Steps
Melt butter in a large Dutch oven or stockpot over medium-high heat.
Add the chopped onions and sauté until they begin to soften, 5 minutes.
Add ground beef and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned.
Add the red peppers, chili beans, chopped tomatoes, italian seasoning, smoked paprika, ground cumin, and chili powder and put the lid on and reduce heat to a slow simmer.
Simmer for 1 hour.
